Each year, Arrow community leaders select a Word of the Year. A meaningful word that serves as a guide for personal and professional focus. As the Executive Director at The Montvale Senior Living in Springfield, Illinois, the start of a new year provides the perfect opportunity to reset, refocus, and prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
My Word of the Year for 2025 is elevate. This word aligns with the season I’m in and serves as a guiding anchor for how I lead my team, support families, and care for residents. After a year of significant changes and adaptation in 2024, following The Montvale’s transition to new management, the focus for 2025 is to build on those lessons and bring our community to the next level.
Elevate reflects the commitment to improving all aspects of our community, from enhancing resident experiences to strengthening teamwork and fostering growth. This word inspires me to approach each action with purpose and determination, ensuring we continue to grow and thrive.
As 2025 approaches, I am excited to see how elevate will guide my leadership, relationships, and personal growth. This word represents an opportunity to embrace progress, take meaningful steps forward, and create a stronger foundation for our community.
